Feliz Dress Sew-a-long Project
I am doing a sew-a-long on the Feliz Dress by Farbenmix and will be posting pictures as I go through the steps. Here I have posted the fabric that I will be using for this dress.
How's the Feliz going? I managed to get the pattern cut out quicker than last time as there will be no ruffles. I will use ribbons instead and I've decided to use French Seams to keep everything neat.
I'm making a bit of progress - I've put the ribbons on the back(instead of the ruffles). I'll put some pictures on my blog. Are you getting a chance to start on the ruffles?
I have gotten a bit side tracked with our kitchen remodel taking a wild turn. We found aspestos insulation everywhere! Needless to say sewing has taken a backseat, so I have put my feliz on hold for a week. I do look forward to seeing you all complete yours! Let me know when you post.
Feliz must be the last thing on your mind with all the worry about the kitchen. I hope it gets sorted quickly for you. I'll put some pictures on Flickr tonight and blog it during the week.
I have been married to the same wonderful man since Dec. 1986 and I am a mother of three. I have twin daughters who just graduated college and I have a 18 year old son who shares my creative bug. I don't really remember when I started sewing but I know it was at my grandmothers making doll clothes and by the time I was six years old I had sewn my finger up in the sewing machine. People were strange back then, leaving a six year old alone in a room on a sewing machine! Anyway, that didn't squash my love of sewing but I don't have many memories after that of sewing till high school. This is where it payed off for my parents, a teenage girl who loved making her own clothes for a fraction of the cost as RTW. Then years down the road after I married and then having twin girls, my dad bought me a sewing machine, because he wouldn't let me have his, and I found a new love for sewing children's clothes. Now all three of my children are older and it is such a pleasure to have them ask me to make something for them and my son likes to join in the creativity of sewing. Happy Sewing!

This is going to be so sweet, I hope you can forgive me for backing out in the sew-along, and I sure hope that you are still going to do it!

Wait for me to get my ruffles done then. It shouldn't take me very long.
